UK Company Thinks 800notes is a Professional Scam
Yes, you are one hundred percent correct. This woman is a professioal scammer, and I’ve been in contact with the US police regarding her website. It seems she creates the problems herself in some cases, writing the reviews based on google places adverts. She then demands large sums of money and blackmails the person involved to remove the sladerous post.
Here in the UK you have a burden of proof, for example if you state something in print it is your duty to prove this is not false or a lie, a good law that stops people using the internet as a personal tool for hatred and vendettas.
Blackmail is still a crime in the USA as far as I am aware, if you have problems with this thing report to the local police, state governors office, domain hosting organisations, the hosting company. Even better, start a Facebook page and tweet about her scamming activity.
Good luck in bringing this crook to justice. Jail is where Julia Forte the scammer belongs.
800notes Bullies a High School Maths Teacher
I am a high school math teacher and have never worked as a telemarketer or debt collector in my life. I recently noticed on 800notes.com there are complaints that I am a scammer and that I call and harass people. This is obviously not the truth based on my profession and I have found out that anyone can post things anonymously on that site whether they are true or not. It is probably a student who dislikes me.
I contacted 800notes to have the posts removed since they are false. Julia Forte ignored me. I then see on her site that you can “sue the poster but not Julia” yet when I contacted Julia to give me the identity of the poster she again ignored me. I am a teacher trying to help today’s youth and Julia Forte and 800notes have ruined my reputation! Julia Forte has no regard for human decency so please do not pay to advertise on her site because she is damaging innocent people’s lives!
Dallas Internet Slandered by Julia Fortes 800notes.com
A company I work for has been falsely accused of being a fraudulent telemarketing company and it is negatively effecting my ability to make money to support my family! 800notes.com and Julia Forte are the culprits and I’m sick and tired of them writing up false stories of companies with the intention of embezzling money from them. Like the mob, Julia will threaten companies with bad press if they don’t pay her to stop.
How do I know this? Just Google “800notes Scam” and see for yourself! Plus a former employee of hers has gone on record confirming it. Based on this article from a former employee that worked for 800notes, 800notes is a complete scam. He says,
“Basically they would encourage people to come and write complaints about various phone numbers and tele callers. Now every one registering on the website is required to put in the details of the email.Ones a complaint comes in-they would let it lie on the website just like that and see if any more people are writing against the number. If not-then one of the team members of the 800notes.com wouldput up some false comments and posts about the number. This ways they would build up a lot of complaints against one number.
Once sufficient complaints were collected,we were asked to get in touch with these numbers/phone callers personally make them aware of what has been posted about the numbers and against their companies. The job was basically to emphasize about the repercussions of the number staying there online. We would build up pressure on them to get these numbers removed, scared them with all possible explanations. And to remove the posts the company would ask them to pay hefty amounts ranging from 500 to 2000 USD.The amount was supposed to be transferred by means that could not be clearly tracked-in false bank accounts, direct transfers in employee names!!!”
Also look out for the blogger that is in bed with 800notes called, techdirt.com
But be careful, they will flat-out attack you and basically mock anyone who comes against them. I’d like to see the shoe on the other foot and see how they like it when their income and well-being of their family is negatively effected. Bet they wouldn’t like that very much! But, unfortunately for them, that is exactly what they deserve for their lies.
Commenter has a bad experience with 800notes.com
I have had similar experience with 800notes. They removed my rebuttals. Leave the outrageous lies there. They hide behind the AntiSlapp law and the CDA of 1996. Please provide more detalis of your experience on the wikipedia site.
Previous Employee of 800notes.com writes at http://www.xcomplaints.com
I am one of the previous employees of the http://www.800notes.com. I am letting the common public know about my first hand experience at the company. I was hired as a fresher and right on the very first day I was told how the whole scam works. The company head- Julia Forte makes it a point that the strategy is very well drilled in every executives head.

Those who do not relent to their pressure tactics-well the magnitude of the false attack was increased on them-Julia Forte supervised this department herself-she is very unethical and has simply no moral values.
Those who did not relent to their tactics-you can still find their numbers on the website- http://www.800notes.com
Its been 3 months since I left that company and I am thankful to GOD for that!!
Julia Forte & 800notes.com posts negative slander about Construction Company.
Julia Forte of 800notes.com in Holly Springs, North Carolina allowed false complaints about me to be posted on her website, refused to take them down, added more of her own, and then tried to blackmail me to have them removed.
I own my own construction company. I am not a telemarketer and have never made a cold call for my business. One day it was brought to my attention that someone had wrote slanderous material about myself and my company on the site 800notes.com.
I visited this website, read the slanderous and hurtful false claims, then I saw that this website was regarding telemarketers and cold callers. I have never made a cold call so I located the email address of Julia Forte, the 800notes owner, and emailed her explaining that I have never made a cold call so this was clearly a false post and to please remove the post.
I also realized that Julia Forte does not check the credibility of any of the posts on her site and allows anything about anyone to be posted on there whether they are true or not. This post about me could have been made by a competitor, a disgruntled former employee, or even an old high school person I didn’t get along with. I couldn’t believe this site allowed just anything to be posted on there.
Julia Forte emailed me back something about how some amendment of the constitution protects her site and that she will not remove the post. I emailed her back with my direct cell phone number (my business number was the one used on the site) and asked her to please call me about the false claims and I wanted to explain that my business does not even make telemarketing calls.
Julia Forte called me alright. She told me that she’d be happy to remove the post – for a fee of $1000! I said “No thank you, Ms. Forte. That one post about me online doesn’t bother me that much.” Julia Forte angrily hung up the phone.
The next day I checked out the site to see if maybe Julia Forte came to her senses and removed the post. Not only did she not remove the post but suddenly THREE more posts that were much more slanderous about me were posted!! Since I told Julia the one post didn’t bother me she clearly added more herself hoping that would make me pay her off to remove the posts. I refuse to give in to this woman’s blackmail but it’s too bad she is using the internet against innocent people to try to make her own profit. I sure hope that one day this woman’s poor ethics are put to a stop.
800notes.com & Julia Forte are at it again it appears.

If you pay Julia Forte and 800notes.com to advertise on their website PLEASE read about what Julia Forte has done to my son who is a minor and determine if you still want to support this website.
I am a mother and my son is 17-years-old. He is a junior in high school and is starting to apply to different colleges. Recently my son and his girlfriend broke up. When they broke up the girl made it known to my son that she was going to get her revenge on him by posting nasty rumors about him online.
My son told me this so we “googled” him every couple of days to see if the girl was going to go through with her threat. Sure enough she did and she used the site 800notes.com to write false slander about my son.
Word about this spread and my 17-year-old son is being harassed at school because of what was written on this site about him. I am terrified that my son is not going to get accepted at some of the colleges he is applying for because of this.
I contacted 800notes and Julia Forte and asked her to remove the content about my son since it wasn’t true. I actually contacted her multiple times and the content was not removed. I researched her site further to read where she says that no content is ever removed from her site unless it contains excessive profanity or looks like spam which wasn’t the case with the slander about my son. She also continually brags on her site about how the US laws protect her from anything that anyone writes on her site even though she is the one who hosts it.
A few weeks passed and I contacted my son’s ex-girlfriend. I begged her to remove the content she wrote about my son because it was leading him to get harassed at school. His ex-girlfriend admitted she was just mad the day she posted it and agreed to remove it. She then got back to me to tell me she COULDN’T remove it. She admitted that the reason she chose 800notes to slander my son was because she googled some complaint sites and 800notes.com was the easiest one to get negative content on quickly. She didn’t have to register or identify herself at all and she liked the ease that she could just post the very bad things about my son even though they were completely false.
I looked further into 800notes.com and I realized how horrible of a website Julia Forte is running. All other complaint sites at least require the complainer to register under with an email address and the poster needs to put their time in before submitting their complaint. All other sites also make sure the poster can be identified through email if need be. But 800notes.com just allows ANYONE to post ANYTHING at ANY TIME without checking the validity of the complaint or even making the poster at least sign up with an account before posting it. This false slander is now severely hurt my son’s chances of getting into the colleges he wants to and it is all due to Julia Forte from Holly Springs, North Carolina!
I realize that just like the false slander about my son, it is possible for people to post false complaints about people online. I ask that you don’t take my word on this. Go to 800notes.com yourself. Type in someone you don’t care for’s phone number and then write some false slander using that person’s name and location. It will pop up on the site INSTANTLY no matter what you say. Now realize that someone that has a beef about you can do the same thing to you even if it is not true. And they can do the same thing to ruin the life of your CHILD!
Read some of the complaints on her site. Half of them have nothing to do with unwanted phone calls. A lot of them are vicious, personal attacks that no person would actually write about someone just because of a telemarketing call. People are using this site to slander innocent people and they are doing it because of the ease 800notes.com lets them. And now it has been done to my innocent child!
If you pay 800notes.com to advertise on their site, PLEASE reconsider. Julia Forte has no regard for anyone else, even minors. This is not going to change and the laws of this country support her evil ways. But it doesn’t mean you have to.
This Poster calls Julia Fortes & 800notes.com a Brilliant Scam
It is actually a pretty brilliant scam. There are a ton of companies that would just as soon pay this ransom than deal with all the legal expenses in a crap shoot of a law suit type case. The internet has no governing body. Which makes it extremely difficult to prosecute. It’s like the wild west.
I do truly feel bad for the mom and pop small business’ out there that have been ruined by this scam. Julia will have to answer too her maker one day.
